I followed this guide to setup the VLAN's and a firewall rule blocking access to LAN. For like half an hour stuff that I connected to port 1-2 (VLAN 20) and some devices behind the AP (VLAN 10) were placed in the correct subnet (but never the actual AP), and then they went back to LAN. My problem is that the devices I connect to an untagged port it gets an IP of 192.168.1.X (LAN), even though the port is in my opinion configured for VLAN. I would like to create separate SSID's for my IoT stuff, but my current AP doesn't support SSID VLAN's. I have a 2-port pfSense box and a TL-SG105E 5-port managed switch.

I'm trying to learn more about networking and right now I want to divide and isolate devices on my home network using VLAN's. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theory u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more!
